as this is my first entry, i think an introduction is in order. i've been in the real estate industry for a
decade. it's the only industry i've ever been a part of professionally and it is the only one i'll ever be
a part of. i've worked for a consulting firm, for a national homebuilding company, and now i'm a
partner in a small firm that i helped to start. life is funny in that it sometimes presents opportunity
during the most dire times. my firm opportunistically acquires distressed real estate assets - from
banks, financial institutions, bankrupted development and homebuilding companies. i have mixed
feelings about this - feeding upon the detritus of the thing that i love - but sometimes you just have
to make lemonade. it does get pretty hot in the summers here, and it is mighty tasty with a little
extra sugar.
i'm not sure who might stumble upon this site. mostly it's for me to ramble. i haven't figured out
how to allow comments, but i am working on it. i'm happy to answer any questions about the
industry, and limited questions about myself. i hope you enjoy what you read.
